Essential Cookies

We do not set any essential cookies. This is a static website with no accounts and no server-side sessions, so there is nothing to keep you signed in to and no form session to protect.

Your shopping basket is kept in your browser’s local storage rather than in a cookie. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browsing data.

Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, how long people stay, and where they arrived from. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by a stream identifier, which recognise your browser across visits. These are set as soon as you arrive; we do not currently ask you to accept them first.

Google Analytics is also configured to detect contact details typed into forms on this site — such as the name and phone number entered at checkout — and to send them to Google in hashed form, so that activity can be recognised as belonging to the same person across devices. Where you are signed in to a Google account, Google may additionally use data from your visit for its own advertising personalisation.

Marketing Cookies

We do not set advertising cookies of our own, and we do not run campaigns that follow you around other websites. The Google Analytics behaviour described above is the only route by which your visit may reach an advertising profile, and it is operated by Google rather than by us.

You can control, restrict, or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Most browsers allow you to:

• View cookies currently stored and delete them individually
• Block cookies from specific websites
• Block all third-party cookies
• Block all cookies entirely

Blocking cookies will not stop this site working — the analytics cookies described above are the only ones we set, and nothing on the site depends on them. Clearing your browsing data will, however, empty your shopping basket, since the basket is held in your browser’s local storage.

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, we are required to be transparent about the data we collect, including through cookies. This section sets out what that means in practice here.

We do not currently show a cookie banner, and we do not ask you to accept cookies before they are set. The analytics cookies described above are placed as soon as you arrive on the site.

If you would rather they were not, you can block or delete them through your browser settings using the guidance above, or by using a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts. Doing so will not affect any part of this website. You can also ask what data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to [email protected].
