Your Dehydrated Citrus Questions, Answered

Your questions about dehydrated citrus, shelf life, usage, shipping, gifting, and wholesale, answered.

Product & Freshness

It's real citrus (lemon, orange, lime, or grapefruit) sliced thin and dried slowly at low heat until almost all the moisture is gone. Nothing is added. What you're left with is the fruit itself: concentrated, shelf-stable, and beautiful. The same process humans have used to preserve food for centuries, applied with a bit more care.

Up to 12 months from the production date, stored in a cool, dry spot away from direct sunlight. The resealable pouch or glass jar keeps them fresh between uses. Most people find they go through a pack long before the shelf life is up.

Not at all. That's the whole point. Dehydration removes the moisture that causes fresh fruit to spoil, so our slices are fully shelf-stable. Keep them in your pantry, on your bar cart, or on your counter. No fridge required.

Zero. One ingredient: the fruit. No sulphites, no sugar coating, no artificial colour to make them look prettier than they are. The amber and rust tones you see are natural. That's what real citrus looks like when it's dried slowly.

Lemon, orange, lime, and grapefruit, each dried separately to preserve the distinct character of the fruit. We also offer mixed packs and curated sets if you'd like a little of everything.

How to Use

Drop one straight into the glass as a garnish. It floats beautifully and releases a gentle citrus note as the drink sits. You can also rest it on the rim, use it as a stirrer, or layer one at the bottom of the glass before building your drink. There's no wrong way.

Both, honestly. They're perfectly edible, the whole slice, pith and all. Some people eat them as-is; others rehydrate them first. We'd say they're more garnish than snack, but there's nothing stopping you.

Yes. Soak them in warm water for 15–20 minutes and they'll soften back to a texture close to fresh. Rehydrated slices work well in teas, syrups, and cooking. Dried, they're ideal for drinks and gifting.

It varies slightly by variety and slice thickness, but roughly 15–20 slices per standard pouch. Our website lists exact counts per product. If you're planning for an event or venue, our wholesale packs offer significantly more per unit.

Orders & Shipping

We ship across Kenya and to select international destinations, currently East Africa, the UK, UAE, and South Africa. We're expanding. If your country isn't listed at checkout, drop us a note and we'll see what we can arrange.

Within Nairobi, typically 1–2 business days. Elsewhere in Kenya, 3–5 days. International orders generally take 7–14 business days depending on destination and customs clearance. We'll always send a tracking link once your order ships.

Because our products are food items, we can't accept returns once a pack has been opened. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or not what you expected, please get in touch within 7 days of delivery and we'll sort it out. We stand behind what we send.

We do, and it's one of the things we do well. Whether it's client appreciation gifts, conference hampers, or end-of-year packages, we can source, pack, and dispatch at volume with consistent presentation. Get in touch via our gifting contact form and tell us the scale and timing.

Hospitality & Wholesale

Yes. We work with bars, hotels, restaurants, cafés, and lodges across Kenya and beyond. Wholesale pricing scales with volume and comes with a dedicated point of contact. Fill in the wholesale enquiry form and we'll come back to you within one business day with pricing and options.

Yes, for orders above our minimum threshold. We can accommodate branded labels, custom box inserts, and specific packaging formats for hospitality partners. Tell us what you're envisioning in the wholesale form and we'll see what works.

Our standard minimum for wholesale is 5kg per variety. For custom or branded packaging, minimums are higher, typically 20kg+ depending on the format. We'll confirm exact figures when we respond to your enquiry, since it depends on what you need.

Fill out the wholesale enquiry form with your venue name, type, location, and rough monthly volume. We'll review it and get back to you within one business day. Ongoing partners get volume pricing, priority restocking, and access to new varieties before public launch.
