We handle enough wholesale enquiries now to know most buyers are asking the same handful of questions. Here are direct answers, not a vague "contact us for pricing" page.
What counts as a wholesale order
There's no unreasonably high minimum. Most of our wholesale customers are single hotels, cafés, or restaurant groups ordering enough to cover a few weeks to a couple of months of garnish or in-house use, not container-scale volume. If you're a single venue, you're still a wholesale customer to us; you don't need to be a distributor.
How pricing actually scales
Per-unit pricing drops as order volume increases, in line with how packaging and batching costs work on our end. We quote based on your actual expected usage rather than pushing you toward a bigger commitment than you need. A hotel doing daily cocktail service will land at a different volume than a café using citrus wheels occasionally for tea or plating, and pricing reflects that difference honestly.
Lead times, realistically
For an existing wholesale account, reorders are typically fastest since we already know your standing volume and can prepare ahead. For a first order, build in more runway: our drying process is deliberately slow (we cover why in why we slow-dry our citrus), so a first order isn't something we can rush without cutting the process that makes the fruit worth buying in the first place. We'll always give you a specific date, not "a few weeks."
What to have ready when you enquire
To get an accurate quote quickly, it helps to know roughly:
- Which varieties you need (citrus wheels, dried fruit, or both)
- Expected weekly or monthly volume
- Whether you need custom packaging or branding, or standard packaging is fine
Getting started
Open a wholesale enquiry through our contact form and mention roughly what you're after. If you haven't decided between setting up a standing wholesale account and just sourcing a dedicated garnish supplier for your bar, a dedicated cocktail garnish supplier for Nairobi's bars and hotels walks through that distinction. Frequently asked questions
What's the minimum order for a wholesale account?
5kg per variety for a standard order. If you want custom or branded packaging, the minimum moves up to roughly 20kg+, since a branded run needs a larger batch to make sense. We'll confirm the exact number against what you're asking for when you enquire.
Do you deliver outside Nairobi?
Yes, across Kenya. Nairobi orders typically arrive in 1–2 business days; elsewhere in Kenya, plan on 3–5 business days. If you're a hotel or lodge outside Nairobi, build that into your reorder timing rather than ordering at the last minute.
Can you supply venues outside Kenya?
We ship retail orders internationally today, currently East Africa, the UK, UAE, and South Africa. For a standing wholesale account outside Kenya, get in touch and we'll confirm what's possible for your location.
How fast do you respond to a wholesale enquiry?
Within one business day, with pricing and next steps, not a generic "we'll be in touch."
